ANNOUNCING THE ADDITION OF DR. CHRISTINA WATERS TO THE PROJECT'S ADVISORY BOARD

The Project Charity – Children’s Rare Disease Network announces the addition of Dr. Christina Waters to it’s Advisory Board, where she will be joining the newly formed international group of experts in both science & business. “Christina brings a deep understanding of what The Project is working to accomplish and has embraced the vision and future opportunities the Project can take advantage of. We are very honored to have Dr. Waters join our board of esteemed men and women who will continue to advise our efforts over the next few years,” stated The Project’s founder and CEO, Mrs. Nicole Boice.

Dr. Christina Waters has nearly twenty years of research and management experience in drug discovery and development in both early stage and large pharmaceutical companies. Most recently, she has focused on creating and executing the personalized medicine initiative at Cell Therapeutics, Inc (CTI). Prior to CTI, Dr. Waters, as President and COO aTyr Pharma, and was the Director of Scientific Development at the Genomics Institute of the Novartis Research Foundation. Dr. Waters received her Ph.D. in Genetics from the University of California, Davis, and completed her degree at Syntex as a NIH Biotechnology Fellow. She was a Postdoctoral Scholar and Associate at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute in the Division of Biology, California Institute of Technology. Dr. Waters also completed an NIH Postdoctoral fellowship at University of California, Berkeley, and received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from San Diego State.
In addition to our Advisory Board, The Project is working to engage a handful of key business men and women to join our Board of Directors that will help drive our initial success and funding needs. Together, the Advisory Board, The Board of Directors and executive staff will be working to accomplish much this upcoming 2009.
